FrontRunner Grand Opening Coverage Sucks
So we finally find out that FrontRunner starts the third week in April. Yet when one checks out the website, there is little information.
The maps are outdated. There is nothing scheduled under current events. There is no updating of schedules, how payment works, how it works in conjunction with Trax. Give me a break.
Those of us who commute 10 hours a week back and forth from Davis County have been waiting for this for a long time. We have plans to make and items to get in order.
What I want to know:
- How much is a monthly pass and can I use it for Trax and the bus system when I get off of FrontRunner in SLC?
- How do I buy a monthly pass?
- What does the inside of the FrontRunner look like? Just curious.
- Does it have Wi Fi?
- Why isn’t FrontRunner set up yet on your route schedules? I would like to know what time I have to leave my house to catch FrontRunner, then transfer to Trax in SLC and walk two blocks to work and make it on time.
- When does the “crossing silence ordinance” go into affect?
Maybe I am amiss. I do not subscribe to any local newspapers and I do not watch local news. But even though this is Utah and we are usually at least 20 years behind the times, shouldn’t the FrontRunner website be the FIRST place for all information regarding this event?
If you need a new marketing director, I can certainly help you out, do a better job, and I’m sure do it for less money than you are paying whomever is pretending to do the job now. Just my two cents.

information is trickling in:
http://rideuta.com/projects/commuterRail/default.aspx
they just posted maps.
no information on how the front runners will deal with bicycles except something about them being allowed by exits and one lonely picture that is akin to two frontrunner crashing into each other at full speed:
uta seems to think they are a movie production, and leaks of any information would somehow compromise their service.. or at least that is what i have gathered through their behavior.
