Wow- the season’s ending already? I was hoping that they’d take a few episodes to rehabilitate Bill…right now he’s so unsympathetic that it’s not so much a look at a polygamist family, as the plight of 3 women who are too spineless to do anything about their children being exposed to an abusive, controlling, spoiled brat.

I wondered about who’s watching the kids as well…all of the women seem to have a great deal of freedom to pick up and leave when they feel like it. Maybe Teenie’s always stuck with it, and that’s why she’s so unhappy these days.

Don’t feel bad–I suppose many Utahns raised Mormon haven’t been exposed to popular coffee vernacular–but “morning joe” is a phrase that means the coffee you have in morning, as in, “Sorry I was out of it yesterday, I’m a mess without my morning joe!” The television show is a play on that because it’s a guy named Joe that you encounter every morning (or at least, the network hopes you do). So don’t worry, Starbucks isn’t endorsing the TV show–the TV show is based on a common name for morning coffee, and that is what Starbucks is referring to.

I too don’t do resolutions, but I heard some “lifestyle expert” on the radio discduss giving each month a theme. So for January, 2010, my theme is reflection. I’m hoping to learn just how I screwed up my life so far so I can identify some ways to change it. Oh, and I’ve joined overeaters anonymous. That should be (may be?) huge.
