Today I was in a pissy mood. I can blame it on hormones, PMS, pre-menopause, peri-menopause, vitamins, or any number of things. But I was pissy. Every time I tried to analize why I was pissy, I came to the conclusion that all of us just have pissy days every now and then and today was my turn.

In retrospect, these events added to my pissiness:

• Mom called and woke me up. Not the best start to a holiday. She called to tell me it was raining. We live in the same city.

• Being awake, I tried to get onto the internet, and my piece of shit two month old Sprint data card had completely died. Even without the motivational support of my usual jug of coffee, I drove to the Sprint store, walked in the door, and in one breath spewed forth: “Where is the manager I bought this piece of crap two months ago and online they said I can’t return it because it has been over 30 days and this is the fourth piece of crap equipment I have had to replace this year.” They gave me my money back.

• Picked up daughter and by this time it was lunch. The restaurant we picked didn’t serve coffee. WTF?

• Stopped by mom’s house to say hello, and had to listen to her tell me the virtues of Sarah Palin.

• Went to a bad movie, before I knew it was bad. Stood in line ten minutes to buy the tickets, then when daughter went to save our seats, I stood another ten to buy diet Coke. Some punk ass twenty something tried to cut in line ahead of a woman and her kids in front of me. I told him to move to the back. He stood there and challenged me for five minutes in front of forty or so people. I didn’t swear. He finally backed down. I thought he might hit me and I didn’t care. He backed down to a middle aged woman in front of his friends. Made me happy. The woman in front of me thanked me.

Now I am home. I am going to sit on my ass and try to have a peaceful evening. And I will be really pissed if I don’t succeed.
